MEDITERRANEAN DIET AS A WAY OF HEALTHY DIET
Educational level:
Children aged between 3 to 5 years old
Aims:
This Project aims to teach children how important the mediterranean diet is for our health sharing motivating experiences between Greek and Spanish children.
- To know typical products of each country: Spain and Greece (differences and similarities).
- To identify the importance of eating Mediterranean fruits and vegetables to have a healthy life.
Project development:
The collaboration between the participating countries in this project must be mutual involving the students and allowing them the opportunity to get to know the culture and the typical Mediterranean products, which are growing in the other country.
Indicative and flexible timetable:
- December: Introduction. Teachers take children’s photographs and they have to make a drawing of themselves. A presentation will be created with these photographs and drawings to send it to the other country. (Padlet).
Bee bot: The Bee bot travels from country to country. Programming.
-January: Recipe with typical products (salad, sweet…).
-February: Carnival. A typical song connected with food.
-March: National party of Greece eating bacalao.
-April: Games with letters and words. E-book.
-May: Farewell. Skype.
Expected results:
-The expected learning outcomes aim the increase of the knowledge about the importance of the Mediterranean diet in our lives, reducing the consumption of fast food products.
Evaluation:
We will make an ongoing evolution since we started the project in all our forms we are going to carry out a final evaluation with our students.
Disemination:
We will create a padlet where we will upload information about the project and, what is more, the creation of a blog is a must in order to increase the participation of the families.
